CTCS Update February 2023
Dear Music Lovers A reminder that this coming Saturday 11 February the Cape Town Baroque Orchestra will present a celebration of the music of Purcell. The programme includes a line-up of instrumental repertoire and arias from his most famous stage works, including King Arthur, Dioclesian, Faerie Queene and Dido and Aeneas. January 2023: Gustavo Romero Opens Cape Town’s Classical Scene
Dear Music Lovers Wishing you a healthy and happy music filled 2023. The classical music scene of Cape Town opens this Saturday 7th January with pianist Gustavo Romero presenting the first in his series of Schubert Sonatas at the Baxter in their wonderful Concert Hall in collaboration with Ian-Burgess Simpson Pianos. CTCS Update and Plans for 2023
Dear Music Lovers It has certainly been an interesting year for concerts and event planning - and 2023 looks set to be an exciting year as we put our plans into place and have our first five concerts set! CTCS Update: Final Concert for 2022
A reminder that our final concert of the year takes place next Tuesday evening, 22 November at 7.30pm in the Baxter Concert Hall featuring Romanian pianist Daniel Ciobanu. He will present an exciting programme including: Toccatta by Khachaturian, Kreisleriana - Schumann, Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody Nr. 12 and Tokyo Encore by Kieth Jarrett. Ciobanu also has a few more surprises up his sleeve which make this concert one not to miss!
