The classical music scene of Cape Town opens this Saturday 7th January with pianist Gustavo Romero presenting the first in his series of Schubert Sonatas at the Baxter in their wonderful Concert Hall in collaboration with Ian-Burgess Simpson Pianos.
The concert starts at 11am and tickets are available through Webtickets. The series continues on Monday 9, Wednesday 11 and Friday 13 at 7pm. Details of the programmes are below.
Later in the month the Maynardville Shakespeare Festival opens with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, the UCT Summer School takes place at the Baxter and Cape Town Opera are back at Kirstenbosch.
