Dear Music Lovers

If you missed the chance to snap up the special tickets available for our fundraiser at the Norval Foundation this weekend you still have two more concerts to look forward to this month.

We complete our year with an International Festival in collaboration with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra to welcome artists back who were unable to travel in 2020.

On 12 November, cellist Alexey Stadler presents a morning concert of solo cello works by Bach and Hindemith as well as Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet performed with members of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra. A special feature includes the introduction of a new generation ensemble of young cellists that he will be working with during the week. Following the concert there will be a short in-conversation with Alexey where he will talk more about his music making and answer questions from the audience.

The concert takes place on Saturday 12 November at 11 am.

Then on 22 November we collaborate for our final concert with the SA College of Music to bring you Romanian pianist Daniel Ciobanu. He will present a fiery programme of works by Khachaturian, Schumann, Jarrett and Liszt and has a few more surprises up his sleeve which make this concert one not to miss! Daniel will also have short in-conversation after the concert where he will talk more about his music making and answer questions from the audience.

The concert takes place on Tuesday 22 November at 7.30 pm.

Both concerts take place in the Baxter Concert Hall – tickets are available from Webtickets. Should you wish to book your tickets directly through us then please do email me at info@ctconcerts.co.za and I will arrange your preferred seats and send you banking details.

These concerts bring to light the need we have for your support and every ticket sold helps us secure our future. We are in the final stages of putting together a full season of concerts for 2023 and look forward to bringing you the finest recital and chamber music in the country. Thank you for helping make this happen.

Kind regards
Louise
