Dear Music Lovers
It has certainly been an interesting year for concerts and event planning – and 2023 looks set to be an exciting year as we put our plans into place and have our first five concerts set!
We will open our season in February with the Cape Town Baroque Orchestra. In March violinist Rachel-Lee Friday will present a programme of Schubert, Beethoven, Poulenc and Bartok with pianist Francois Du Toit. In April we will celebrate our local musicians in a mixed chamber music programme. May features tenor Levy Sekgapane in a recital of Rossini, Donizetti, Tosti and more and we round the season off in June with a recital featuring the exciting pianist Emanuel Ivanov who won the hearts of audiences last year at the Stellenbosch Piano Symposium. We will release all the information along with dates and booking details at the beginning of January.
Don’t forget that Gustavo Romero is also back in Cape Town at the beginning of January presenting all the complete Schubert Piano Sonatas over 4 concerts, running from 7 to 13 January. Tickets from Webtickets.
