Dear Music Lovers
A reminder that our first concert in the 2nd quarter takes place on Saturday 6th August at the matinee time of 2.30pm featuring the incredible young pianist Leo Gevisser who so impressed audiences at the opening of the June symphony season with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.
Leo is currently studying for his BMus degree at the esteemed Juilliard School of Music in New York with the legendary Jerome Lowenthal and, at just 19 years old is already creating waves of admiration wherever he plays.
His programme features works by Mozart, Grieg, Scriabin and Prokofiev and also includes a short in-conversation with Leo after the concert where we hear more about his studies and future plans.
