Dear Music Lovers

Back by popular demand, the Cape Town Concert Series 2024 presents a concert of chamber music featuring members of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra this coming Saturday 16th March.

The programme will feature highlights from the recent Franschhoek Chamber Music Festival with works that are rarely heard due to their composition and size. This gives the chance to see your favourite orchestral musicians in a more intimate setting featuring string, wind and brass music.

The programme opens with Bach’s Little Fugue – arranged for Brass Quintet, followed by Mozart’s Wind Serenade No. 11 and completes with Vivaldi’s Four Seasons- with four CPO principals each playing a different season.

For more insight into the programme, Albert Combrink has once again compiled some notes to take you Inside the Concert and you can find them here.

The concert starts at 11am in the Baxter Concert Hall.  As always the Baxter restaurant and bar will be available before and after for refreshments.

Tickets are available from Webtickets .

We look forward to welcoming you once again to the Cape Town Concert Series. If you have any queries, do let us know.

Kind regards
Louise Howlett
