Amici String Quartet featuring Marian Lewin on Cello

Hailed by Die Burger as "Gratification for the soul", the Amici String Quartet from Cape Town is widely regarded as one of the country's finest chamber music ensembles. Its members, Suzanne Martens, Quentin Crida, Karin Gaertner and Peter Martens are all well known as local musicians of note and for this concert they will team up with the doyen of S.A. cellists, Marian Lewin.

The programme includes the much loved string quintets by Boccherini and Schubert, and the internationally acclaimed string quintet, Five Elegies by Arnold van Wyk.
