Natasha Korsakova, of Russian-Greek decent was born into a music family in Moscow and is a descendant of the composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. She began playing the violin under the guidance of her her grandfather, followed by her father, well-known Russian violin virtuoso Andrej Korsakov. After the early death of her father, Natasha studied under the tutelage of Ulf Klausenitzer in Nuremberg and then later with Saschko Gawriloff in Cologne. She has appeared in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls. In 2004 she performed the Tchaikovsky concerto in Berlin for the 15th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. She has won a number of awards, including being the first musician to receive the Russian Muse award in Moscow, and the Preimos Simione Catullo Artist of the Year in Italy. Natasha is an enthusiastic chamber musician. She performs with pianist Galina Ryzhikova, who was born and educated in St Petersburg, Russia. She graduated with honours from the prestigious St Petersburg Conservatoire, where she distinguished herself as concert pianist, chamber musician and accompanist.
